Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Carlos Bousoño Secondary School has as one of our main aims as an educational institution is the achievement of a well-rounded development of our students through a learning programme open to diversity and to the European Framework. Participation in the Erasmus Programme is in full accord with our educational ethos, and it is a key tool for the development of strategies towards ensuring the adequacy of our students to the demands and challenges of the European job market. The Erasmus project will also allow the whole educational community at our school to increase their qualification and their adaptation to a global and multi-cultural European society. The main mobility actions carried out were: completion of the FCT Module (hands-on training at the workplace) in a Netherlands company, taking part in Language Courses, arrangement of advisory meetings with different educational offices, use of didactic resources, for the assessment and improving of the project quality. For the choice of project partners, it was a priority for the collaborating institution to have a profile which adequately reflects the skills and contents in our curriculum. We narrowed down the work experience initiatives mainly to those in English or French speaking countries. Finally, we hold an agreement with a Netherlands company. Once the agreement was approved, we carried out informative meetings about the objectives and activities of the project; drew up the shortlist (showing the criteria); prepared, kicked off, followed and assed the mobility. The main obstacle found was the impossibility of the staff mobility requested. The reason was that none of the staff members had habitability to do it. Despite it, the achievements obtained by ERASMUS programme were again very successful.
