Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Realising the mobility process of the students and employees of the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw in the academic year 2014/15 within the Erasmus+ Programme is a part of bringing to life its values, which include tolerance, ecumenism and respect for divergence. Participation in the Erasmus+ Programme allows the Academy's employees and students, coming from different traditions, cultures and confessions, to broaden their intercultural competences on a European level, as well as establish connections which result in deepening the profesional knowledge and competences used by the lecturers in their daily didactic and scientific work, and by the students in their activity during the studies (internships, voluntary work), as well as later at work. Due to its small size, in the year 2014/15 the Christian Theological Academy realised 9 mobilities, including 5 study mobilities (including 2 for disadvantaged groups within the Operational Programme Knowlegde Education Development), 1 academic staff mobility (teaching assignment), and 3 training trips for the employees. All the mobilities were realised according to the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). They have not only deepened the students' knowledge and professional skills, but also improved their problem solving skills, taught them to adapt to new situations, assured of their abilities and allowed them to get to know their strengths and weaknesses better. Realising the mobility by the students also allows to supplement the programme of studies of the Christian Theological Academy with the complementary contents offered by the receiving institutions in their programmes. Participation in the mobility also allowed them to improve their language skills, which together with improving the professional skills broadens their perspectives on the job market. The employees' participation in the mobilities has not only allowed them to develop their professional skills, but also broadened the possibilities of further professional career, deepened the competences in organisation and management, as well as language, allowed to develop a professional network of contacts, and presented with examples of good practices in the foreign institutions. Thanks to the participation in realisation of the mobilities, the Christian Theological Academy has also gained more international contacts, which serves the development of its didactic and scientific potential.
