Higher education student and staff mobility project

The State Higher Vocational School in Nowy Sacz has in Poland has The Erasmus University Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for 2014-2020; executes mobility projects for outgoing and incoming students and staff, respecting provisions of ECHE: complies with rules for non-discrimination and equal treatment of all mobility participants; provides students (who gained positive results) with acknowledgements of results achieved; acknowledges workers’ results, taking them into account when assessing their work and professional carrier paths development; does not charge new-coming Erasmus students with education costs; makes course catalogue available at the Internet site of the University and provides support in any issues related to the execution of mobility projects, making arrangements and signing documents prior to the mobility; takes into account the factor behind adequate knowledge of foreign language when qualifying candidates who leave; provides support in all organisational matters related to the mobility for people who leave and come; produced a guide in English language for incoming students, which contains a large number of information for foreigners and published necessary information for outgoing students; implements actions which aim at supporting integration of students and mentorship; offers course in Polish for students who come; is responsible for timeliness of documents issued to students who come after the end of the mobility project; publicise and promotes results of the mobility and supports people who came back from the mobility; ensures that the mobility brings benefits to all parties involved in actions; publicises ECHE charter at the Internet site of the University. The University achieved main qualitative and quantitative aims, which were stated in the financial agreement and Erasmus charter for Higher Education (ECHE). Within the framework of the resources obtained, larger number of mobility was realised in the student and worker groups than it was stated in the 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000284 Agreement. Students’ mobility for studies - 8 people; students’ mobility for internship - 17 people; mobility opportunities for higher education teachers to deliver lectures - 20 people, mobility opportunities for the university staff for training purposes - 9. These figures comply with the Annex to the Agreement. Total number of mobility was 48 in the Agreement; however, there were 54 mobility numbers realised which were financed from the Erasmus + programme, apart from 11 ones which were realised with 0% financing. Examples of individual benefits may include: gaining knowledge and experience in a new cultural and language environment; improving foreign language level; enriching study programmes with new elements which function well at foreign universities, new opportunities for international cooperation, self-improvement, opening up to the world; broadening perspectives; awareness of equal treatment of everybody. Examples of institutional benefits shall include: gaining knowledge, competences and increased professionalism of workers; increased number of people who speak foreign language at a good level; introduction of new technological solutions and instruments which allow for good quality of mobility; increased number of incoming and outgoing students and workers; introduction and dissemination of the ECTS points system.
