Challenge of developing the inclusion aspect of teaching English classes by using the storyline method in behavior of the increasing globalization and the resulting need of communicative and intercultural competences This project aimed and aims to support our untrained English teacher Ms. Kolz-Bieshaar in terms of improving and extending her English speaking abilities and her methodical and didactic competences by taking part in a one-week course “Storyline working towards inclusion” in Glasgow. Ms. Kolz-Bieshaar could broaden her existing knowledge which she gained by having participated in Storyline courses over the last years. She learned more about new materials and methods concerning the aspect of inclusive English teaching. With regard to a lifelong learning a long-term improvement of our teaching quality was initiated by integrating this method in our inclusive language classes and include it in our school internal English curriculum. Our pupils experience due to the highly stimulative character of the Storyline method a creative participation in modern language lessons of improved quality. By finishing the course Ms. Kolz-Bieshaar could increase the in the last years aroused interest of her colleagues and also of the pupils in European themes and widened the European dimension of work at our school.
