Less than 10% of the advantages offered by Kosice and its inhabitants as a potential target group is exploited despite of the increasing traveling through Skaros and Hollóháza to the destinations of Tokaj, Sárospatak, etc. That means the visitors of Hungary do not visit the Slovakian attractions and destinations, the settlements in Slovakia do not take advantage of the higher level tourism products and services of Hungary in the range of the tourism market of Kosice, and of the fortress in Füzér as main attraction.Those tourism regions and special tourism offers will be successful in the national and international competition of the destinations that achieve the supply of the demand of the target groups by:- quality tourism products and their accurate market positioning, - differentiated image and strategy at the level of destinations- professional coordination and managementDevelopment and promotion of tourism attractions integrated into complex tourism packages are more effective than development and promotion of standalone attractions. Therefore closer cooperation of stakeholders of the tourism sector, common development of attractions and connected infrastructure, and the promotion and sell of tourism products are necessary.The common tourism products and service provide movement of information over the small area and over the border thus achieving the aim of: - strengthening positive effect of the Hungarian-Slovakian relations, the cooperation (e.g. Great Milic Natural Park); - implementation of projects by common development and support- social and economical integration of the area.Developing the human resource due to the realization of the project ensures the availability of a team expert in tourism at the service of the visitors on all communication channels and draws along increase in quality of the existing and new tourism offers. Achievements: Developing and promoting tourist attractions integrated into complex tourism packages is more effective than the development and promotion of standalone attractions. The cooperation of Slanec and Füzér resulted in the establishment of visitor centres, the development of common tourism products and their joint marketing. The visitor centres with their exhibitions and through the demonstration of tourism values of each other provided information for the visitors that motivated them to visit further touristic and cultural sights on both sides of the border.
