Healthy Future
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Jul 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The youth exchange "Healthy Future" helped the participants to learn more about healthy lifestyle. The idea of this youth exchange was proposed by a young medicine student, who took part on our previous project and got interested in non-formal education. 40 young people from Luxembourg, Estonia, Poland Italy and Spain attended this project and took active part in the activities. Topic of health - for example, Human body, Mind/thinking/stress, Healthy lifestyle, Drug abuse or Modern age and civilization diseases were elaborated during the project. All these topics were presented to the participants through different games, team works, simulation games, presentations, in order to make the learning process more interesting and interactive. The main goal was to raise awareness among young people about the health problems. Health is mostly considered for granted by young people, when they are full of energy and do not experience yet the problems that are coming with aging, as well as they are not aware well enough about prevention rather than dealing with consequences. And this is an importnat topic on the Agenda of the EU. Through this exchange, the participants gained some practical skills, like at the workshop about CPR, where they learnt how to save a life. Setting up a diet plan was also one interesting activity, during which the participants had the opportunity to learn more about their healthy habits. The intercultural dimension of the project was also present, since the participants were working in multicultural teams.
