To contribute to the rapprochement and extension of the partnership between the medical colleges of Veliko Tarnovo and Alexandria by deepening the contacts between them.To increase the intensity of the exchanges in the field of the healthcare in the cross-border region “Veliko Tarnovo – Alexandria”.To increase the knowledge of the Bulgarian and the Romanian doctors in regards to the international requirements and standards for the cross-border healthcare servicing. Achievements: The project “Health care without borders”, MIS-ETC code 567, with a total eligible value of 69,127 Euro, contributed to the extension of the partnership between the Medical Colleges from Veliko Tarnovo and Teleorman and the knowledge about the requirements and international standards regarding cross-border healthcare through exchange of experience.Through this project, 66 doctors from the cross-border region Veliko Tarnovo – Teleorman were trained on international requirements and standards for cross-border healthcare; information and good practices on the provision of cross-border healthcare services were exchanged; new relationships and partnerships were created and two new project ideas, in the medical field, were identified. The results were complemented by elaborating a code of professional ethics on cross-border health services and by creating a cross-border healthcare portal that can be accessed here: http://health-borders.org/
