Health and Sustainability
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

We believe in the truth of Vergil's words that our health is the greatest wealth we can have. Health Edu project is a teacher training mobility for 4 staff members who will learn about healthy lifestyle from experienced experts in the field, and leading authorities in their field in their own country and in Europe. We believe in the far-reaching consequences of good quality teaching and learning. At the beginning of this year we made a SWAP analysis as an organization and staff and also performed informal interviews with our members. It didn't come out as a surprise that we have a need as an organization and individual staff members to build upon and develop our staff's skills, knowledge and competences to more effectively offer high quality knowledge on health and sustainability, and lead and counsel students on health and balanced life, and this is the aim of our project. Education is one of the 5 headline targets of Europe 2020 and most of our work is focusing on education. When writing the application, we considered the principles and priorities of Adult Education mobilities in the Erasmus+ program and Europe 2020 strategic plan, and also our long-term plan to promote and provide balanced, helathy lifestyle education, to increase the proffesionalization and motivation of our staff and help them to achieve their personal and professional potential, and to increase our capacities to work at EU level.Project objectives are to increase the professionalization and motivation of our staff in the area of balanced, healthy life-style by increasing their knowledge, skills and competences at a Training Course, to increase their self-sustainabiliy and enterpreneurship possibilities,to increase their pedagogical competences, to enhance international dimension of our organization, to develop our staff's English competence, to increase the capacity of our organization and staff to work at EU level, to increase their capacities to work at EU level, to develop their social skills and become active and more motivated EU citizens, and to increase their awareness of Erasmus+ projects and the learning opportunities they bring. The participants are active members of our education staff, ages 25-61, who are open to multicultural mobility, have a desire to develop their professional skills and share them with other staff members, and speak English.During both training courses the following non-formal methods will be used: interactive presentations, workshops, discussions, brainstorming, group work, field trip, learning by doing. The training course will result in receiving Europass Cv and Europass Mobility document for all participants, in increased professionalisation, motivation and satisfaction of our participants, developed social and language skills, and the participants will be able to apply and use this soon after they return back home – in their personal life and in using it at work with their students and colleagues. The impact on participants will be more effective, powerful teaching of more students in theory and practise about health and sustainability, better self-evaluation capacity, we expect there will be more students and teachers expressing their desire to use Erasmus+ opportunities, and our organization will be able to develop more lectures and programs with an increased number of students. We'll measure the positive impact by recognition documnts, positive feedback in the questionnaire, and increased mobilities of our staff and students. A long-term effect will be also a recognized EU dimension of our organization within our community, on a national level and with our partners in Europe.
