Health and Safety Plus Agenda 21
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Health and Safety Plus Agenda 21 Strategic Partnership will enable five schools with similar profiles but different vocational subjects and backgrounds to work together All 4 partners have worked together in one way or the other and will rely on the results of previous European programmes, actual current partnerships and existing e-learning resource in order to produce teaching material, prepare future internships and meet with school curricula, and Agenda 21 aims for long-term project results The coordinator of the project was introduced to French partner through existing French-English county/region twinning and took part in LLL funded Leonardo preparatory visit in 10/2011. This visit coincided with the opening meeting of LLL 2011-2013 Leonardo Partnership project coordinated by a partner from Spain. It was centered on carpentry and initiated Britain's silent partnership throughout the project and British person of contact's attendance to final meeting in 06/2013 The cooperation between partner °4 and partner n°2 is threefold. Both schools cooperated in two Comenius partnership projects between 2010-2014. The results were educational videos and slideshows in connection with science (project 1) and miscellaneaous subjects (project 2). The expertise acquired during these projects will be a bonus for the new project. In addition, the Italian partner has been France's intermediary partner in 3 LLL LdV Mobility VET projects and helped find interships for carpentry students from the French school. Though carpentry is not taught at IIS Pertini Falcone, it has links with local carpentry companies. Plus 2 eTwinning projects were initiated in 2012-13 British coordinator and partner n°3 from Finland were invited to France by Conseil régional d'Auvergne in 11/2013 to attend an information meeting about new Erasmus Plus key action programmes and in order to disseminate about the projects and partnerships initiated by Conseil régional d'Auvergne (Finland) and between partner n°2 (France) and coordinator (United Kingdom). All five partners having connections with carpentry, teaching vocational subjects, health, science, and safety, and offering work placing for their students, a cooperation between the 4 seems obvious There are two mains objectives in our project. Firstly: producing and eLearning course on Health and Safety and affecting to the attitudes of students concerning the importance of health and safety in general. Secondly adjusting to Agenda 21 objectives (vii) 'Promote health education in schools, information exchange, technical support and training' as stated in the UN Environment Program environment for development. Future high quality ECVET mobilities are supported by this new preparation material to mobilities as well as the motivation of companies to receive foreing studetns for placements We intend to involve in mobilities about 10% of students and staff in each structure. But all the students studying in the same course will be implied one way or the other. Ideally, all the students from the same department will have something to do with the project. We will develop various activities to involve as many students and staff as possible within the structures. And we will also involve local companies or structures as silent partners. We will provide e-learning courses, peer-to-peer teaching, safety induction in companies and in the colleges, plus short-term work shadowing if relevant. We will make sure that students and staff take part in the reception of the visiting partners if they are not entitled to produce teaching material for the project (videos, slideshows, first-aid tests) All partners will meet in 09/2014 in France. Firstly because they will need to update after the project is accepted and (re)distribute the tasks between themselves. Secondly because the French school will celebrate its 50th anniversary and will organise a two-day conference. It will disseminate about its international opening in the presence of its past and present European partners and local and regional partners, authorities, educational staff, etc Each of the 4 partner countries will host a meeting with its partners to put into practise what will have been studied during e-learning courses and peer-to-peer teaching, or to provide peer-to-peer teaching and take induction or first aid classes in local companies and local schools when health and safety devices differ regarding the vocational subjects, or do not apply to national curricula. At the end of each meeting an evaluation will be organised as to the contents, productions and impact of the project Spain PIC 949444537 will host a multiplier event A final meeting will take place in Britain in order to present the final results and disseminate about the project and measure its impact and benefits as expected on the structures : ideally first KA1 VET mobility applications for Britain, Spain and Italy, and a higher percentage of beneficiaries for France and Finland
