Start date: Dec 31, 2006,
End date: Jun 29, 2013
The goal of the project « HEALTH and DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGES » is to create a transnational centre of excellence in North-West Europe which. in the health field. responds to demographic change due to the ageing of the population. Expected Results: Cooperation between the partners will be carried out by transnational multidisciplinary teams made up of doctors, nursing managers, neuropsychologists, health managers, trainers, teachers, university lecturers, designers, public relations and communication officers, administration and finance managers, all of whom will make their own specific professional, specialist and social contribution towards preparing the action to be carried out. The different participants in this cooperation, after evaluating and comparing their experience and consultations, will propose medium and long-term solutions to respond to crucial, human, medical and social problems and their economic impact on territorial development, arising from the ageing of the population. Cooperation will make it possible to : -Grasp the problems, in health terms, due to the ageing of the population and all the consequences thereof, using each partner’s knowledge and practice, in order to create a centre of excellence and propose new, experimental, forward-looking solutions, in order to solve these major joint transnational problems. -Promote inter-changeability and transfer of competence and technologies of the different partners in the health treatment of the elderly. -Use the information and communication technology applications created by « HOSPITAL » cooperation as part of the INTERREG IIIB programme, develop and diversify them and create new tools for use in this project in the INTERREG IVB programme.
