The main aim of the quality policy of Ida-Viru Vocational Education Centre is to offer a high level vocational education. By that the profile of vocational education improves, competitiveness in both Estonian and European labour market increases, eduacation based on theoretical and practical knowledge required at present day and in the future is offered by cooperating with employers. The present project supports the quality policy of the educational centre. As the result, the professional ability of the students and teachers increases and the learning outcomes will be assessed by ECVET principles.One of the main aims of the project is to accreditate the prior skills and knowledge acquired at school and to familiarize students with current EU standards. By that the competitiveness of the students of Ida-Viru vocational Education centre increases. The project helps to improve the knowledge, skills, and practical experience of the students and gain experience for continuing and life-long learning as well as to acquire knowledge for working in EU member states.The other aim of the project is to offer professional development of teachers as well as to familiarize them with the current trends in the particular field in order to ensure the up-to-date teaching of particular profession. Teachers apply and develop acquired professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes during the job shadowing period.The objectives of the project:1. To develop skills for independently applying vocational and professional knowledge in different work situations4. To be oriented on high-quality results in learning and working5. To take responsibility for safety of themselves and the co-workers and to manage potential danger situations6. Professional skills will be raised2. Skills of working in a foreign language environment will be developed3. Skills of managing new working environment independently will be developedProject will be managed by an action plan where activities, due dates, and persons responsible are determined. Project activities are divided into the following stages: preparatory stage, stage of carrying out actions, and summarisin stage. For carrying out the project, working party will be created, comprising of specialists and teachers from different departments.The outcome of the project for the school is the following: different specialities and professions will be popularised; practice module of the curriculum will be applied abroad; methods and tools used in applying curricula will be compared; evaluation of job trainings will be carried out; best practices will be transposed and applied in learning process. The project offers a possibility for students to work in an international environment. In addition to learning developments in the particular field of profession, the project enables to ackowledge different cultures and perceptions in general. As an outcome, professional level of students and teachers will be raised and options for entering the labour market will be improved for students. Dissemination plan will be created to inform public.
