Hate STOP - Theatre Against VIOLENCE

'Hate STOP - Theatre Against VIOLENCE' is a project initiated by youth interested in developing their acting skills and resulting from the cooperation between Alter Edu Foundation and AYDAŞ Education, Art and Culture Association. It aims at creating an environment for the youth from Zagnańsk county in Poland and their peers from Zonguldak in Turkey to meet, develop a dialogue and reflect together on challenges they face nowadays, e.g. hate speech. In addition, the project is an opportunity for the participants to develop their acting skills through workshops focused on dance theatre and other artistic forms. The workshops will result in a performace delivered by the participants for the local community.The participants of this project will be a group of 20 young people aged 14-16. These will be students of the Kindergarden, Primary and Middle School Complex in Samsonów as well as beneficiaries of the PAYDAŞ Education, Art and Culture Association in Zonguldak.The activities planned within the project will be devoted to the dance theatre and pantomime, as well as activities devoted to intercultural and democratic education. Vast majority of the proposed activities will be based on interactions and exchange of skills. The programme will include also an educational trip along the route of the greatest attractions of Zagnańsk County and Świętokrzyskie Mountains.The participants of the project will develop their linguistic, communicative and intercultural competences, as well as acting skills, especially in the field of dance theatre. The latter ones will definitely translate into more varied shows performed by the young actors and actresses. In addition, the participants will increase their civil awareness and strengthen their democratic ideals. These ideals will for sure be reflected in their future lives, being of great importance for building a just and civil society.
