HANDS ON SHARING - Voluntary Cooperation between Portugal and East Timor towards Environment Friendly Development
Start date: Mar 1, 2012,
HANDS ON SHARING project involves 4 Portuguese EVS volunteers, sent by GAIA Alentejo, who will be hosted in East Timor by NaTerra - Association of Education for Sustainable Development. Two volunteers will be hosted for 9 months, whereas the other two, original from a small rural village in Portugal, thus volunteers with fewer opportunities, will stay for 2 months in East Timor. All volunteers will be working on the theme of Environment and Local Sustainable Development, through techniques of permaculture and with local communities. This project aims at building a strong cooperation bridge between two similar organizations, between Asia and Europe, facing Global Environmental Challenges and towards local sustainability with international networking.
