HANDS FROM THE PAST
Start date: Sep 15, 2014, End date: Dec 15, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

One of the main object of HANDPAS (HANDS OF THE PAST PROJECT) as an assemble project is to spread the culture value and specifically the Paleolithic hands´ representations that are placed around many Europeans caves. These painting hands are chosen between another art Paleolithic symbol, for considering them the closet and straightest way to bring our Upper Paleolithic ancestry closer. It has been organized two ways to achieve this contemplated objective:1.- Using a free digital platform available for everybody with different high definition scanned 3Ds, which have been made from the best Europeans places with Paleolithic hands´ representations, the same as with those that could be elaborate inside the project HANDPAS.Places where Paleolithic hands appear are always settlements like caverns, with limited and difficulty access. High definition 3D´s digitalization images (for hands as well as the panels where they were painted) disseminated using the free web platform, turns in a very important instrument for those researches whose science field is related to hands representations in rock art, helping them to develop further investigation online without the current physical impediments derivatives from the access condition and preservation of the caves and its paintings. 2.- Making a scientific documental about the diverse interpretative ways that research uses to explain the meaning of this art rock´s type, as much as the possible problems derivates of its authorship and crono-cultural framework.
