Handcraft This project addresses pupils from Turkey and Germany whose aptitudes are in a range from slightly lower to far away from what is expected from them at school today. However every individual has lots of talents and abilities. But in many cases they are submerged, are not recognized and therefore not promoted. Within the project the participants jointly explore arts and crafts of their partner country with all the materials, techniques, history and origin, opportunities and future. They work together in intercultural teams and workshops, using their talents and abilities, in order to create their common achievement. The project aims at supporting considerations and orientation of the participants from both countries regarding their occupational choice by promoting creative and technical talents. Besides the experience of acting as a team they learn how important their personal commitment is to achieve a cooperative result. The pupils will identify themselves with their work, undreamt-of talents will be released and self-confidence will be invigorated. The project focuses on the process of discovering and rising hidden talents and the experience of visible and useful success when using their inherent abilities. Instructed by intercultural training supervisors the young will CREATE - individually and cooperatively, curiously, generating value for others and within the world of "the others". They discover an unknown culture, experience "the foreign" and learn to reflect different ways of life as well as their self-perceptions. The encounter will take place in Turkey in 2015 and in Germany in 2016.
