The Teresiano del Pilar School is located in the northwest of Saragossa and hosts some 900 students in three stages: Primary, Secondary and High School, with more than 70 staff between teachers and administration. In the last 5 years there has been a substantial renewal of the teaching staff because of retirements, so that now we count with many young, highly motivated teachers. In 2013 we began as a bilingual centre in in which Science and Physical Education are taught in English. Bilingualism has been implemented in Preschool and from 1st to 3rd grade in Primary School, and will be progressively introduced in other courses of Primary and Secondary. The objectives of our EDP are: To achieve the internationalization of the school, To acquire new educational methodologies involving ICTs and to develop our own CLIL materials adapted to our students, To improve the proficiency in the English language, To improve the quality of education through innovation and greater openness towards Europe. These new challenges require training of the teachers and the management, for which we ask through this project grants for 5 teachers: Norberto Cuartero: He graduated in Psychology and Special Education and Foreign Language in the specialty of English. Now he is training for obtaining the C1 level according to the MER.. His task in the project is to master the creation of educational applications and virtual environments, and to integrate both in the teaching of English and in bilingual classes with the course APP TEACHER TRAINING COURSE.Yolanda Aranda: She holds a Diploma in teaching with a major in foreign language and also a Diploma in kindergarten with a major in bilingualism . She currently teaches bilingual Science and English Literacy and has a year and a half experience in teaching English but no experience in subjects with CLIL. She has the C1 level of English and is currently training for the C2 level.. Her task is to acquire the CLIL methodology in order to improve her teaching in bilingual classes with the course CLIL METHODOLOGY & ICT TOOLS FOR WORKING WITH CLIL TEACHER.Sandra Melendez holds a Diploma in Foreign Language and in Primary school with a major in English. She has the B2 level and is currently training for the C1 level in English. She has taken several courses on bilingual education in English in the different educational stages, on methodologies based on multiple intelligences and cooperative learning. Her task is to learn new European trends to teach a foreign language, aimed especially at the Primary stage and based on gaming. with the course THE PLAYGROUND CLASSROOM LANGUAGE TEACHING METHODOLOGY FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL. Javier Velilla He holds Diplomas in Teaching of Physical Education and in Teaching of Foreign Languages (English). Currently teaches, English and Physical Education. He holds the C1 level of Cambridge and is now training for the C2. He has taken the following courses, "Teachers in action: Multiple Intelligences, cooperative learning and problem-based learning , "Methodological Innovation: Cooperative learning," His firm goal is to train in order to effectively integrate new technologies and methodologies that he already knows, such as PBL and cooperative learning with the course ICT FOR COLLABORATIVE PROJECT BASED LEARNING AND TEACHING. Eva Arnal holds Diplomas in both Primary School and Foreign Language. She is project coordinator of bilingual education, a position she has held since 2014. She has taken courses on CLIL, cooperative learning, and culture of thinking methodology. She is committed to the school plan, restless, curious, motivated and with leadership. Her goal is to add an European dimension to the School, an improvement that will require an open attitude to changes in management and contact other directors of participating schools for future joint European projects so she requests assistance for attending a FINNISH SCHOOLS AND TRAINING SEMINAR The expected short-term results are: Conduction by the teachers of a quarterly activity where methodological innovations and technology integration are included, Development of CLIL materials in bilingual subjects currently taught in the School, as well as educational APPs., More interest of the children for the bilingual subjects, with the consequent increase of good marks, To familiarize the teachers with the use of the eTwinning platform and to find partners for simple,. The acquisition of all participating teachers of the C1 or C2 levels of English, The celebration of Europe Day involving teachers of all stages. In the long term we expect: To increase the number and frequency of activities involving new methodologies,To increase the CLIL and Apps materials , and to create an open-access virtual library,To find European partners for KA2 Erasmus exchanges, To encourage the students to English external exams,to make the Europe day open to everyone to show our european dimension that we hope we will reach.
