Nowadays, kindergarten and school in our country still focus more on the academic achievement than on the social competence and self-esteem of the children and students. Because of the many structural, economic and cultural changes taking place in our country, the need to support the development of social skills and competences increases to support the healthy development of the individual, to feel young people successful and to prevent marginalization. In the context of pan-European strategic educational goals, we, the teachers and parents need to form knowledge, skills and attitudes of young people to master the key competencies which are: to know, to be able to live and to be together. The subjet of the course is : "Group dynamics and social skills in the classroom". A partner organisation : European Bridges Consulting - Finland Place of the course : Italy , Grottaferrata The purpose of this course is:• to give basic knowledge of the group dynamics: phases, emotions, roles in the group, communication, leadership, conflicts;• to provide tools to monitor the group dynamics and to provide resources to create a better climate in the school and classroom;• to propose means to create a supportive learning environment: security and trust in the group, openness, solidarity, dealing with conflicts. The methods that will be used during the thematic course are: methods of action, group discussions, group analysis, pedagogical drama, socio-drama, cooperative learning, art and humor, peer support, exercises.Three teachers from the Kindergarten "Parvi yuni" - Gorna Oryahovitsa will participate in the mobility: the principal and two senior teachers. The following activities will be carried out: workshops, observations of lessons, school visits, trips, creative activities, self-study, joint dinners and cultural days of the partners. The participants will have the following benefits: basic knowledge of group dynamics and social skills; tools to monitor the developments in the group; practical skills to identify the problems in the group; techniques for dealing with difficult children; techniques to support and stimulate the child's personality; techniques for effective communication with the parents; practical skills to create a better climate and positive creative environment in the kindergarten; new teaching techniques to build social skills. All these things will improve their self-esteem and will strengthen their professional role and position in the community. The benefits for the children will be in the direction of: improving communication between teachers and children and between the children themselves; creating good skills to live together; improving skills to communicate positively and work in different motivational groups; improving emotional psycho-climate in the group and the community; adoption of good social behavior patterns in order to have smooth adjustment in first grade. The potential and long-term benefits are in the direction of: the presence of more competent teachers in the institution; creating a better psycho-climate in the kindergarten at all hierarchical levels; implementation of a quality educational process in the institution which is focused on European dimensions.
