Growing up with friends

“Growing up with friends”, is a project initiated by our organization in cooperation of a school of Badalona, to offer the opportunity to learn, grow up and share realities with coetaneous of other countries, in the frame “We are different, but we are equal”. The topics chosen are related with the work of sensitization that promoter realize at local level, to foster the intercultural learning and cultural diversity as an opportunity. The aims of the project are: - To reflect about cultural diversity and realize intercultural learning- To promote respect, tolerance and break stereotypes- To promote active participation of youngsters in the social life and local community- To orient participants to discover their personal attitudes and how to go on with studies - to inform young people about the opportunities around and throughout Europe,During the entire project will be carried out training for promoters groups, will be made the contacts with the local partners, and set the technical aspects for the implementation of the exchange. In particular, during the days in Badalona, there will be activities with other youngsters, with the goal of make a macro activity open to the local community that can give visibility to the project and promote youth participation in these kinds of activities.In this way we will work to include young people to propose solutions in solving the question of social integration, training young people on promoting their ideas into social initiative that is implemented by them since they are ready to take the responsibility for that, and establish an international dialogue, not only between the participants, but also between the local community will be invited to the activities.About the activities, we will use different ways to encourage the participation of all young people like dynamics, video forum and to promote the intercultural learning, participants from each country will prepare material to describe their context and general information related to the project topics. We will also realize open activities in which can participate local population not directly involved in the project.The activities proposed are framed within non-formal education, emphasizing the different ways of learning and, through Youthpass and the drafting of a logbook, there will be a process of awareness, to reflect and document the learning and skills acquired in the different phases of the project.During these phases we will work to contribute the personal development of the youngsters, promote tolerance and reduce prejudice.Through this project young people will have the opportunity to get organized for themselves, take responsibilities and improve their skills to solve problems independently.
