"Groszki, path of the European stories for children" For many years in our kindergarten number 48 named "Zielony Groszek" in Grochów district we have been working using project-like methodology. So far we have been conducting research projects but the changes in the teaching baseline inspired us to think about large scale education project. That’s when "Groszki, path of the European stories for children" was founded. Thanks to our involvement in Erasmus program next stages of the project our kindergarten will try to overcome language and cultural differences. In our kindergarten we want to focus on improving English language skills so the first stop in our European journey will be Great Britain. This will help children apart from English language skills, familiarize more with British culture and reality. classic stories for children and TV shows will help us accomplish that. Children will learn about forgotten classic literature which they can compare with known stories and books. They will learn from this that Europe is and was multicultural. Goals: -eliminating the stigma of "exclusion" associated with the geographical and social location of the kindergarten -raising level of English language education in kindergarten -raising quality of work in the kindergarten through the introduction of methodological techniques and elements from other European countries -skillful use of new technologies by teachers making it easier to make the facility and its employees more mobile -widening of the so-called soft skills, interpersonal skills and overcoming language barriers -making use of so-called non-formal education -raising directors skill level allowing better new project management -raising competence of teachers will lead to greater professional flexibility, which is important in the perspective of education reform and changes in the employment market Influencing the development of a strategic plans for kindergarten. Expected results: -raising the quality of kindergarten without increasing costs -promotion of the kindergarten -overcoming social barriers caused by cultural and environmental differences -planned participation in "K2 partnerstwo strategiczne" will allow for the exchange of experiences comparing the effects of their own work, evaluation of achievements, experience in using of IT and communication techniques and the implementation of new ideas and games inspired by trips and communication with other kindergartens -increase in creativity and innovation of teachers motivated by new and interesting experiences -raising the self-esteem of employees due to the acquisition of new skills and competences which leads to more effective work with children -increase the attractiveness of classes in kindergarten through new teaching techniques introduced by the teachers and intercultural character classes -increase children motivation to learn foreign languages -socialization of children through the opening to different cultures, values and mores Project participants: 14 selected kindergarten employees, kindergarten director, speech therapist, teachers, teachers helpers This project should directly impact around 500 people including all kindergarten employees, parents and local society members. More people will familiarize with this project by social media, eTwinning platform, Facebook, kindergarten blog, press Long-term benefits: This project gives this kindergarten the opportunity to open up to European cultures and languages, which will definitely improve the quality of the kindergarten. This will also help in the development of the kindergarten, employees, children and local society. We will fully utilize our international contacts given by this project. Our graduating preschoolers will feel more like complete Warsaw members rather than closed community outsiders.
