Start date: May 1, 2013,

The project 'Green jobs for Green Europe' will take place in Bristol, UK. It will bring together participants from 6 European countries and will last seven days. The participants will explore how to make Europe greener. The project will encourage the participants to reflect on their life styles and on the structure of the traditional economy and will support them in creating their own green businesses. The subject of the project is extremely important now, during the economic crisis, when we face the climate change and the transformation is needed. The project will consist of series of workshops dealing with entrepreneurship, merging lifestyle and career goals, green job sector and the structure of the traditional economy. The aims will be to show participants how they can use their skills to create jobs for themselves and how to contribute to development of sustainable economy. In order to do so, we will invite young green entrepreneurs who will describe how they came up with the ideas for business, where the investment came from and how they turned their ideas into action. We will also have workshops critically analysing the structure and problems of traditional economies in Europe. We will look at unemployment and the support that young people get from the state and the European Union and how we could improve it. We will discuss what is active citizenship and what is the role of young generation in transforming Europe. Finally, we will focus on the greener and healthier lifestyles: we will run meditation and yoga sessions, relaxation workshops and we will offer nutrition advice . In order to spread the change and the green thinking our ideas for businesses together with communication to young people from our countries will be published in 6 languages as a short video on the internet.
