The GIFT project is an instrument to establish a cross border innovation forum to grow a sustainable “green economy” in Wales and Ireland. GIFT will bring together and upskill Welsh and Irish enterprises, public sector and academic institutions. Stakeholder knowledge and skills will develop through collaborative business-led projects, a skills programme developed for business’ needs, on-line forum/smart working & network events. GIFT will catalyse business growth, strengthen participants’ job-readiness & promote broad understanding of the green economy. The project operates under 4 themes: • Knowledge Economy• Green Tourism• Green Technology• Waste Management Dissemination of findings & learning will be a key element of the initiative, including case studies, a website, regular meetings or e-events and an annual learning & showcase event including business-judged excellence awards in each project theme.
