Granice języka granicami świata - rozwój kompetencji w zakresie języka angielskiego.

The project will involve teachers in the lower secondary school implementing pedagogical innovation "Let’s learn about the world with English - classes with an extended curriculum of the English language". Its main objectives are: to increase the number of English lessons (5 per week) and to introduce English on mathematics, computer science, biology and geography.
The project aims to improve the English language skills of the teachers; expand the opportunities for their personal development through the acquisition of new competencies, skills and expanding their knowledge; improve the quality of teaching, particularly in the English language; create a network of international contacts and establish partnership.
The project will involve six teachers of the following subjects: mathematics, computer science, biology, geography, and 2 English teachers. The participants will take part in language improvement courses of different levels. The main activities undertaken after the completion of mobilities will include: to get involved in international projects; to use the eTwinning platform; to provide support for students in the form of additional language exercises, glossaries, downloadable materials, useful links published on the school website; to provide support for teachers in the form of presentations, publications, brochures and creating opportunity for peer learning.
By taking part in the project participants will develop language skills especially in terms of productive skills, expand vocabulary and knowledge of the structures. They will achieve greater fluency in English, they will communicate using more advanced vocabulary. As a result, the teachers will become more creative and effective and provide high level of the language. Contact with teachers from other countries, especially the teachers working in bilingual classes or working with gifted students, will be a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences.
Personal development of teachers involved in the project will significantly improve the quality of education in the English language offered by the school. Participants will communicate better, they will choose the most suitable tools. They will take steps to increase students' motivation to learn English, such as the implementation of new ideas and international projects involving the entire school community. Students will also promote their achievements on the school website and in the media.
The project will also affect the teaching staff not directly involved in the mobilities, because they will be able to work on international projects, observe lessons and use the experience gained by the participants in their work.
The project will enable to promote the school on European level and meet partners with similar goals and educational plans. Through partnership the school will strengthen its position in the region and the country.
