Grafika digitálnych médií: doma versus zahraničie

Eight third and fourth-year students will participate in the project with the field of studies graphic of digital media. These students have already participated in a vocational training at our school. We plan to carry out the three-weeks long vocational training in Budapest, Hungary in late November and early December 2016. The students study English as their first foreign language, while they reach the requirements of the B1 level (based on CEF). Two of the participants (25%) come from a socially disadvantaged environment. We hope that this possibility will increase their motivation to use the gained knowledge and skills in their future professional life.The students are interested in a training which takes place in a real working environment, and they will carry out activities that are connected to their field of expertise in order to gain new knowledge and experience in the international field of graphics of digital media. The importance of the project does not highlight only the improvement of professional skills, but it also concentrates on the geographical closeness of Hungary, that enables students to get better job offers, contacts, cooperation, since students do not have a language barrier either. Those, who finished their studies, can get jobs in their region as well as they can develop an entrepreneurship, while using their international contacts and experience. On the national and European level the students may get better possibilities to find a job on the job market thanks to their experience abroad. They become more confident, independent, flexible; they improve their attitude towards responsibilities, they learn to understand other cultures and traditions, and they will appreciate the national values. The aims of the project in short:- to improve the quality of the school's vocational training and to gain new experience in the field of graphic of digital media- to gain new knowledge and experience so they can carry out valuable work in the future using the latest technical procedures and methods; to learn how to work with the equipment and programmes of the firms abroad- to learn how to connect sound, text, and image sequences- to practice webpage-editing: program setup, typographic rules, text editing, work with colors, inserting graphics and images, using www in order to create web pages- to learn new design techniques- to learn about the Bluebox technology- to carry out practical tasks of photography with a traditional camera and with a digital one as well- to gain knowledge from the field of electronic publishing, digital media, applied IT techniques, etc.- to compare their knowledge with the principles and differences of the target country; to apply the gained knowledge in practice- to establish the basis for prosperous future cooperation with the firm in which the vocational training takes place Due to this project we expect an improvement in the professional skills of students, their integrity, success in the job market and an increasing international mobility of students.
