The program of ELIX “Volunteering is in Our Nature!” focuses on the empowerment of young people and the promotion of volunteering through active participation and the promotion of a better perception and awareness for European projects. One volunteer from Spain for 12 months will come in contact with the local community in Athens and will try, through intercultural dialogue and coordination of local volunteer groups that work in the social field, as well as for the environment, to support the 'challenges' that life in Europe has today. The main objective of this project is the promotion of volunteering opportunities offered by European programmes and the program "Erasmus+". Volunteers will also create visual material, record the results of the efforts of other volunteers and collaborate with them while gaining organizational skills in working with groups through coordinating and organizing. Additionally they will enhance their practical skills on environmental protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
