GOOD PRACTICES FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (CROSS-BORDER AWARENESS RAISING ACTIVITIES ON MANAGEMENT STANDARDS FOR ENTERPRISES)

The project focuses on enhancing the level of understanding about international standards in the cross-border business environment. Targeted enterprises will have the chance to raise their awareness and improve their knowledge about standards’ requirements in the framework of their respective industries. For that reason Research of legislation and requirements for different sectors with reference to management systems will be performed as well as research of Serbian legislative framework and requirements referring to management systems. Thus foundations for tailor-made trainings will be set, which will involve theoretical and practical exercises and will in general include the following: - Food industry: Quality control requirements, process flow, Hazard analysis and critical control point determination, traceability of the product - Hotels, Restaurants, Tourism: Services quality level, HR management, Hazard analysis and critical control point determination, traceability of the product, customer satisfaction, etc. - Industrial equipment: design and development requirements, samples testing, product identification and conformity (CE marking), environmental impacts assessment, environmental plans, legal requirements - Apparel Industry: design and development requirements, quality control, health and safety hazards identification, monitoring, legal requirements - Furniture Making Industry: design and development requirements, quality control, health and safety hazards identification, monitoring, legal requirements Exchange visits seminars will be organized which will promote networking between companies operating in the same industry across the target region. Seminars will be tailor-made to suit direct beneficiaries and will be aimed at sharing best practices and experience. In addition based on the researches and seminars results a Guide for applicable standards for selected sectors will be developed, which will serve as a handbook for those sectors, relevant standards and the benefits of their implementation. Achievements: The project achieved the following results:• Improved environment for development of relationships across the border –representatives from 22 companies have participated in exchange seminar;• Increased capacity of companies regarding management systems requirements and standards –representatives of 110 companies participated in trainings• Developed sustainable partnerships for exchange of good practices and expertise -representatives of 110 companies participated in trainings• Promoted innovative approaches for improvement of quality of administrative services exchange of expertise among cross-border standards with reference to management systems introduction in companies from 5 sectors.
