Go for the NEETs . Creating Opportunities with Nice, Entrepreneur, Eclectic and Talented Young People
Start date: Jan 1, 2013,

We wish to develop a wide scale EVS short term project that will permit to 30 youngsters with fewer opportunities to live a first voluntary and mobility experience by participating in an international workcamp in the course of the year 2013. Our project addresses young people with economical, social and educational disadvantages, who are not in employment, education and vocational training (NEETs). It aims to prepare them to a longer term personal project (volunteering, studies, vocational training, job…). The project is related to the theme of social inclusion, but it also aims at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable ways of life amongst the volunteers and their different hosting organisations. It will be implemented in 30 short term activities, with a duration of 15 to 21 days each. These activities will be all international workcamps that will combine environmental tasks and/or non formal learning workshops on the concept of sustainability. Our project gathers 23 organisations from 15 countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany,Greece, Italy, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom). All these organisations are members of the ALLIANCE of Voluntary Service Organisations. As a “flagship project”, our project will help the ALLIANCE in disseminating an appropriate methodology based on non formal education and social inclusion within its 49 member organisations. It will have a multiplier effect in the whole network. Further than the 30 planned exchanges, our project aims to support the network in fully implementing its Accessing Policy and to reach in 2013 its goal of 10% of volunteer exchanges (out of 18000/year) involving young people with fewer opportunities.
