GMRSKE Slovakia
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

GMRSKE is a secondary school with extended education of two foreign languages, French and English. In order to keep pace with the European Union preferred standard of education in French and English languages, there is always a need to improve in several areas. Our project GMRSKE Slovakia is generally based on the refresher teachers’ courses for our staff members. Relevant language teachers have little practical experience of speaking those languages. There is a necessity to move to best practice and EU best standards in language education. We need to skill language students to be more competitive in applying for EU wide University places. There are three teachers recommended for course participation – one in French and two in English. These teachers need to learn practical and other skills where the language is spoken and practiced through structured courses provided by Pilgrims Canterbury, International House Dublin and France Langue Bordeaux. Participants will undertake Courses abroad during summer 2014 – outside of school term. After their return participants will demonstrate their acquired skills at GMRSKE in 2014/2015, to School Managers and Teachers. New programme will be delivered in Class from September 2014, onward. Consultation, clarification and support will be available throughout the academic year. Invitation to other schools to participate – see it at GMRSKE or have it demonstrated in inviting school. We will monitor progress, measure outcomes, research teachers and students on success of new methodology. We will also make recommendations on agreed findings to Ministry of Education in Slovakia.
