Global Service Training

Global Service Training is a project with the intention of giving students of the hotel and tourism program international work experience.
Due to the fact that the tourism industry is international it is important to give students the tools to develop the competence they will need in their future careers.
Through completing a portion of their work experience abroad the students gain a better understanding of other cultures and develop their communication in a second language. Something, which is important within the tourist industry.
It is also extremely important that students travel and experience other countries, their sights, culture and cuisine.
The goal is that the students will develop their understanding of other opinions, their own social competence, approach to service and in turn be more secure in their future career.
The students in the second year of the hotel and tourism program will travel with two of their teachers, as they are seventeen or eighteen years old.
The work experience will include a selection of tasks within the fields of: tour guide, cleaning, reception, caretaker, kitchen and waitressing as well as being an event and activities coach
Through their education and work experience in both Sweden and internationally, the hope is that students can be hired within the tourism branch in Europ
