Give Peace a Chance. Auf dem Weg zu einem europäischen Jugendtheaternetzwerk.

The applied project will take part in the time from the 26th of June till the 4th of July 2015, where will be 50 youngsters from 7 different countries in the youth educational institution Berchum in Hagen( North Rhine-Westphalia). The youngsters are coming from Estonia, Finland, Germany, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. In general there are so-called undeprivileged youngsters who have mostly bad chances of a good education. The youngsters will argue on this youth meeting with the subject "Give Peace a Chance" and will develop in addition in different Workshops a play. In the Workshops they will play theatre, write songs, take photos, dance and organize the equipment for the stage. Workshop works will be filmed as a documentation video which should provide for the spreading of the results. The Idea of the project is to improve the competence of the youngsters in the creative and artistic area, strengthen her capability of expression and wants to anchor peace as a thought of a common European consciousness in the young person. Moreover, with this project a beginning should be put for a small European youth theatre network which also meets in future and promotes the cooperation between youngsters from different European countries and other projects within the scope of the programme ERASMUS +. To integrate the local public are invited the Lord Mayor of the city Hagen and the members of the City Council of Hagen to the premiere of the play.
