With this project we intended to encourage intercultural learning and to prepare our students for the challenges of living in a globalised world. We partially managed to achieve these goals by getting in touch with schools and teachers from different countries, using different means of communication such as e-mails and chat.Two English teachers attended the course "Advanced Language and Methodology" and shared their acquired knowledge and material with the English department afterwards. While participating in the course, they deepened their knowledge in the field of intercultural competence and met European educators who teach English. Furthermore, they learned about new methods for the English speaking classroom, aiming to increase their students' motivation through the implementation of the email project.On the long run, we aim to maintain an exchange project with different partner schools.
