The seminar “Get ready to act! - Empowerment and Social Inclusion for marginalized Youth” aims at an exchange of expertise and practice on currently applied approaches and methodology in the field of youth inclusion and youth empowerment.The specific target group of the project is youth workers working with marginalized young people such as ethnic minorities and migrants, rural youth, urban youth at the edge of the poverty line, refugees and Internally Displaced People, because those young people are particularly suffering from exclusion all across Europe..Based on the vision of a common European identity and European Citizenship potentials for an increased youth inclusion with the starting point on local level culminating on Europe level will be elaborated.Therefore, the seminar will provide a platform for youth workers to learn how marginalised young people can take an active role on local and international level and to have their voice heard regarding current European challenges. An exchange of tools and approaches for active participation of young people and means of influencing and creating youth policy on local and national level will be core elements of seminar. Last but not least, the seminar shall contribute to develop the capacity of civil society organisations and individuals working with and for marginalised young people to make the voice of the young be heard and to aggregate their interests and needs on political level.The project will be organized for 30 youth workers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Germany, Lithuania, Romania, Estonia and Italy.The Academy for Peace and Development will coordinate and host the project in Kobuleti, Georgia, from 8-16 September 2012.
