Aim of project Get Better Opportunities With Foreign Work Experience is based on the problems of the region where the school is located - high level of disadvantaged citizens, and thus a high level of unemployment.Project responds to the long-term problem district of Spišská Nová Ves and helps participants to acquire the knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, to provide more competitiveness and attractiveness to potential employers after graduation.The main objective of the project is to provide to selected participants (15 students from study fields of mechanic of computer networking, mechanic electrician and marketing manager) work experience and placement in London - in companies which are directly related to their field of study. The aim is to improve their knowledge, skills and key competencies of participants and evaluation and validation of the stay by the usage of ECVET elements.The project will greatly help to combine theory with practice, an important objective is the adaptation of students to the working environment and collective, fulfillment of duties and assigned tasks. They learn independence, timeliness and greater responsibility in the daily commute by subway, train or bus. Finally, important sub-objective of the project is the improvement in foreign language, as students will communicate daily in English not only in the workplace but also at host families, so their ability to active communication will be improved. A particular aim is also to support the participation of students for life in Europe, awareness of both Slovak and European citizenship and strengthen the multicultural dialogue, as London is one of the most multicultural cities of the world; and also inclusion in society and solidarity.Finally, the project aims to support participants in the generation and exploitation of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development, employability and participation in the European labour market, improve the quality and scope of cooperation between educational organizations and businesses across the Europe. The priority is to develop the skills and competencies of young people in vocational training, learning to work in an international team and help students with the integration of the European labour market, improve the personal development of the participants, their social skills and so getting to know their own personality in different situations, encourage communication skills and language development of the participants.The project is a priority for improvement in knowledge, skills and key competencies of participants. Improvement in practice in the areas of marketing, ICT and acquisition of international work experience. We also expect a significant improvement in the level of English in particular in the field of communication and technical terminology. Improvements will be measured by the level of input and output tables with point evaluation scales, questionnaires and tests completed by the host organization, accompanying people, participants, but also masters of professional practice and teacher of English at the school before and after the arrival. Participation in the foreign work placements will affect the increase in self-esteem of students, their flexibility, autonomy, job mobility, ability to adapt to the new team of a multicultural working environment and growth. We also expect that the internship will have a significant impact on improving the knowledge and skills in practical areas such as the opportunity to consider a lucrative practical training during their studies. Since the school is located in a region with high unemployment and the project we want to involve disadvantaged students, mobility will potentially improve their own competitiveness on the labor market.Participants will broaden their horizons, get to know the culture of Great Britain thanks to visiting the city and family in which they stay during mobility. We expect that students will be able to work well under pressure and stress of a new and foreign environment and create a positive attitude towards work and work habits.The project will support the international relations of the sending organization SSŠ SEZ Krompachy with European and international institutions and improve the quality of vocational education graduates. We expect that the project will improve the prestige of the sending organization and will also help in the region and the recruiting activities of the school. It also improves communication between the teaching and professional staff of the school and their mutual cooperation for better connectivity and continuality of theoretical and practical training. Thanks to foreign experience will not only students, but also accompanying people get benefit of new approaches to teaching and by subsequent agreement may be introduced into the process of new thematic units and a total upgrade teaching to the European level.
