Gestionarea emoțiilor-prioritate în managementul educațional
Start date: Oct 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project entitled “Management of Emotions – A Priority in Educational Management” provided the participating teachers the opportunity to develop skills necessary for the knowledge of pupil’s psychology in order to obtain good school results. The idea of the project started from the fact that in our school there is a number of pupils at risk of school failure, due to psychosocial dysfunctions. We considered the implication of the teaching staff in solving these problems and in finding measures meant to increase motivation in the learning process quite necessary. Equal rights to education and the assurance of high quality education has been a priority of our project. So we decided to develop a community of teachers that encourage dialogue, experience exchanges and cooperation. The project carried out in our school has offered to a number of 7 teachers, the opportunity to participate to a training course abroad and to implement educational activities, which contributed to the development of good quality educational system. The implementation team of the project was made up of 11 experienced teachers, willing to participate to all the activities of the project. The school accountant was also part of this project being responsible with the financial aspect. The participants in the project come from different curricular areas and they all performed their duties, earnestly and with dedication. The methodology of the project focused on the following issues: monthly meetings of the team members, the setting up of an evaluation committee of the participants’ application files, the development of a procedure for project evaluation as well as drawing up necessary management documents, the promotion and dissemination campaigns of the project. Regarding the activities in the project, they can be grouped into 3 stages: Preparation: practical arrangements, selection of the participants, establishing contracts with partners and participants, linguistic, pedagogical and cultural training of the participants. Implementation: the mobility - training session held in Rome, Italy. Follow-up: assessment of the activities, recognition of the participants' competences, dissemination and valorisation of the project results. The expectations of the implemented project concerned both the institution and the teachers and students. At the level of the institution we wanted for our school to improve its partnership relations with other schools, to be more open to the European dimension of education. After the implementation of the project, the school has gained an image boost in the community, has partnered with educational institutions both in the country and with foreign institutions, contributing to the development and promotion of high-quality educational system. On a personal level, from the viewpoint of beneficiaries of the training, we wanted them to acquire competences necessary for the psychosocial understanding of the students. We believe that this project came to help teachers by providing them with methods, techniques and skills needed to manage an educational management in favor of quality education. As it concerns the students, we aimed at lowering the percentage of those who register learning difficulties because of emotional problems. We hope that by raising standards of information and teaching classes and by designing creative activities that would give color to school routine, students would show interest in the learning activity and obtain academic performance. The project produced benefits in both short and long term. In the short term these benefits were: teacher training in the field of child’s psychology; the development of the pupil’s emotional control and self-control through motivating activities; the involvement of the teachers and pupils interested in the topic of the project, in extracurricular activities that aim at diminishing the learning difficulties caused by psychosocial factors; increased interest of the local community and the teachers in school, for the emotional problems of the students, the development of a modern educational system, through innovative methods designed to motivate students in their learning process, the development of the school curriculum by implementing new optional subjects. The implementation of our project has provided the possibility of experience and good practice exchanges between teachers from our school and Italian teachers, which contributed to the development of new skills and forming new attitudes towards students, the teaching act and profession. In the long term we want to develop an appropriate climate for the learning act through the use of active-participative methods, promotion of quality education that encourages self-esteem, cooperation, respect for differences.
