Geography Mirrors Man

Part one :" Origins" - the students collect materials about first settlements on their lands, tribes, geographical conditions. They will try to answer questions about national characters, what they are determined by( location, terrain, access to food, living conditions, historic events, migrations etc). The students will acquire edditorial skills through writing essays, publishing articles, online magazines, booklets about first settlements in their regions, and most singificant historic events which might have affected national characters. The students will also conduct a research and create a map of migrations in their regions. Part two : " Nature and physiognomy " - the students will study the aspect of human physiognomy and character and relate them to geography. They will create a questionnaire about attitudes of the people in their regions, analyse popular proverbs, sayings, idioms revealing the values and vices for the people in their regions. The students will also study the appearance of the people in their regions creating a photo exhibition depicting most typical psysiognomy features for their regions. They will gather samples of cloth, pictures, handmade pieces of clothing, examine how fashion and the materials evolved, what was the evolution determined by. The students will create online fashion magazine and organize a fashion show. The students will also create calendars with former and current regional fashion promoting the culture of their regions. Part III : " Philosophy of cuisine" - the students will collect old traditional recipes for food and drinks, healing methods , herbal remedies etc. The students will take part in workshops "Chefs of Europe"- open air cooking experience- learning to cook regional specialties, they will create online encyclopedia of natural treatment methods and a cookery book which will be translated into all the languages of cooperation.
