Geographic Information science for Environmental and Spatial Planning

This proposal outlines the activities of the transatlantic consortium (GISESP) comprised of the University of Cagliari, Italy (UniCA), the University of London, UK (UL), and the George Mason University, USA (GMU). This consortium will develop an integrated programme of curriculum in GIS and environmental planning science that will lead to the award of two masters degrees, one from UniCA and the other from GMU. The consortium will facilitate the exchange of 48 students (24 from the EU and 24 from the US) in addition to a regular exchange of faculty across all institutions for programme and curriculum development.
