Kristina Dulebova from Slovakia was working at the Åland Islands Peace Institute (ÅIPI) as an EVS volunteer during the period October 2014-September 2015. The main objective of the mobility project has been to provide Kristina with an opportunity to get aquainted with, and gain experience in the main areas of activity for the Åland Islands Peace Institute, with the focus on international NGO cooperation, web-based education, as well as information activities through the Peace Institute's website and seminar arrangements. One of her main tasks at the Peace Institute has been assistance to the Research Coordinator in developing and evaluating an online course Åland Example as Territorial Autonomy, which is a university-level e-course on territorial autonomy, with the Åland Example as a main case study. The course was launched in the spring term of 2015 in co-operation with the Open University on Åland. Besides, Kristina has been working with the budget control of the NordPlus Adult project “Norden for peace?”, which involves five partner NGOs from the Nordic countries. She has also done translations from/to Russian and English, assisted the Information Officer with updating the Peace Institute’s website and provided technical support in organizing trainings, seminars and conferences arranged by the ÅIPI. Kristina Dulebova has made a valuable contribution to the activities of the Åland Islands Peace Institute and developed her own expertise in the field of information management, cross-border networking, web-based education, organisation of high-level seminars etc. The project has also had a positive impact on both personal and professional development as well as provided Kristina with experiences that will benefit her in future career choices.
