One of the most important indicators showing the level of development of the countries in socio-economical means is health services. The fundamental aim of health services is to provide health services society needs at a high quality in the shortest time and with the lowest cost. Also, the service provided in health sector should have capability and 100% reliability under any circumstances.In addition to the existing need for personnel in health sector, 165.000 nurses which were available by 2000 in our country are aimed to increase to 400.000 in scope of "2023 Vision of Human Resources in Health”. Due to all these reasons, dissemination of and supporting vocational educations to be provided for health sector have gained importance and private health vocational high schools have been opened in many cities. Training health care personnel who are educated and qualified, has empathy and effective communication skills for the institutions and enterprises providing health service is among our schools’ primary aims.Our project shall be carried out with a participant group consisting of 35 students and 18 teacher (staff) studying in the fiel of health department of Lokman Hekim Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Edremit - Van-Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Patnos - İbn - i Sina Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and 4 staff from Erciş Provincial Directorate National Education. Our project which includes 3 weeks-internship training for students and 2 weeks job shadowing, training and observationfor staff shall be realized in Czech Republic’s capital Prague in Stredni Zdravotnicka Skola (institution) and in Sweden’s capital Stockholm in Big Care Hemservice hospitals. Participant students shall be selected among from 10-11th and 12th grades from partner schools. Our teachers will be selected among the teachers who responsible for vocational education and training. All of our students have fundamental vocational knowledge and skills. However, our participants do not have work life experience and vocational qualifications required by the sector for manpower.Methodologies to be used in order that our project can achieve its aim and create expected results shall be execution method which consists of selecting project team members and participants, planning and duty sharing; application method consisting of showing and having others do, exposition and demonstration methods for training the project team and participants, activity-following method for monitoring the development and work programs of participant students, evaluation method for detecting success level of activities and to what extent targets are achieved and promotion method for introducing the project and our institution to health sector representatives.Project objectives for vocational education students:-to Improve the quality of professional qualifications-To increase employability-To allow internship in their early periods of their career-To increase the academic success -To make them think critacallly by providing comparable standards abroad about the nursing profession-to Provide nursing profession in the area of basic skills and competencies to be developed in accordance with the alignment of supply and demand in the labor marketProject aims for the education staff:-to learn the structure of the vocational education and training in the EU-to examine the EU system for vocational education of nursing-Professional Training staff to see the standard of work and academic background in Europe-Foreign With professional colleagues, intellectuals and make personal cooperation-to see new applications in terms of structure and teaching methodsOur project targets our students’ preparatory period in the nursing department for work life. This project shall compensate for our participants’ need for practice which cannot be met by the help of local opportunities, which is going to be a process reinforcing professional knowledge. Our project’s expected results are improving our students’ language skills, transferring innovative care, treatment and rehabilitation applications in Europe to our institution, raising awareness and building self-confidence of our students by cooperating with people with various cultural background. Our project’s long-term gains are increasing our students’ opportunities to be employed domestically and abroad, ensuring their integration in manpower market, enhancing the institutional quality in public and private health sectors and amending quality and service in health services.
