Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Aksaray Ataturk Anatolian High School became an Anatolian high school (a high school which accepts students after a test) in 2012. There are 850 students and 46 teachers in this school. There has been an increase in the number of students who choose foreign language based department in our school which has been equipped with technological devices as a part of the project ‘FATİH’. For this reason our teaching staffs need to attend the courses about Techniques and Methods in Language Teaching and Using ICT in Classes. It is believed to fulfil the needs of our teachers within the scope of meeting students’ needs. The participants, with less than 10-year teaching experience, are the teachers who are quite eager to learn and to develop their teaching skills. With the help of these courses which have been planned according to the needs of our teachers and students, it is aimed to raise the effective capacity of our school and to increase the quality of education in our school and area. We believe that our teachers will adopt the acquired knowledge and experience to our school and to the needs of our students thanks to the project activities. It is certain that we will be able to build bridges with the other teacher from the other countries of Europe and it will help us to internationalize our school and it will make it possible for our teaching staff to examine the education in the European dimension. Through the project mobility, we will establish strong links with European colleagues and create different projects in different branches in e-Twinning portal. After the project we believe that our students, most of whom come from small towns, will be aware of the possibilities of education in Europe and the aspect of their perception to their teachers will change positively.
