It was the result of fruitful collaboration between our school and our permanent partner in Nice (France) which is Patronale des Cafeteries Restaurateurs et Metiers de la Nuit Cote D?Azur (Association of Owners of Cafes and Restaurants in Nice). It was also based on our experience in realising mobility projects together. Place of training: Nice (France) Duration: 01.11.2014. - 31.10.2015. Duration of mobility: training from 05.05.2015.-16.05.2015. The target group consisted of 32 trainees, students of the introductory vocational training (in dual system), who are students of the second and third grades of Technical Vocational School of Gastronomy, Hotel and Hospitality. Students acquired qualifications, confirmed by the international certificate, which will enable them to find an attractive job. They also gained more knowledge, more skills, professional experience, linguistic skills in French. They also benefited from acquiring knowledge of foreign customs, foreign cuisine, cooperating with a different society. Trainees worked in French restaurants and hotels under supervision of French chefs and hotel managers, as a result they learned about the procedures in these workplaces. From one to four trainees were hired by one institution, which was a guarantee of high learning standards, constant contact with the supervisor and monitoring and encouraged to communication in the foreign language. The programme involved ECVET standards and had been consulted by Polish employers and the host institution. It also corresponded with Polish national curriculum. In their free time students expanded their cultural experience, went sightseeing Nice, visiting museums and other tourist attractions. After the training participants were awarded Europass Mobility and Polish-French certificate including Individual Record of Achievements based on the ECVET standards, which should make their position on the job market much more comfortable. The results include abilities and skills at preparing and serving dishes, including regional dishes, ability to work properly for a foreign employer, and also experiencing life in a different society and culture. The project was aimed at helping create a fully independent, creative, open-minded, outspoken worker, competitive on the job market, the worker who is ready to do his professional duties properly. It also raised learning standards and prestige of our school, which will result in higher interest of future candidates. The project will also result in extending cooperation with our French partner and Polish employers who our students work for, which should, consequently, influence the level of education and attractiveness of our school. The trainees have been promoting French cuisine and encouraging other students to take part in our further projects. It was a full success of our project when all trainees completed practice, gaining all the ECVET standards and the number of candidates for our school should remain on the same level, considering the falling numbers of candidates and the competitive education market. The trainees have also promoted our country through their professional involvment which was praised by their foreign employers.
