The other important thing is that this project also aims to spread the message of peace and to break the stereotypes and prejudices between the youngsters from different countries in the city of peace, Canakkale, place with huge importance for the entire world. We will be delighted to organize the sport competitions in the name of the 100th anniversary of Canakkale battles.
Every year, Turkey celebrates March 18 as the anniversary of the Canakkale [Dardanelles] victory over the Allies. 2015 is the 100th anniversary of that legendary period. This is why we chose Canakkale, as a venue for our project , in the same time with this project, involving 40 youngsters from different countries, we want to share with the world, a message for peace and to highlight the importance of this year.
Playing sports and spending time outdoors is an important part of healthy development for youngsters.
