The Project G.O.O.D T.A.S.T.E FOOD - Gastronomy and Obesity - Overweight Danger - Talk and raise Awareness on Types of Ecological FOOD is a youth cultural exchange that brings together 45 participants from 6 countries and has as its main objective " Improving the lifestyle of young people by increaseing their awareness about obesity / overweight and the harmful effects they generate and by developing the skills of healthy food preparation and consumption . " The project implementation period is three months and will involve not only the applicant organization but the partner organizations as well, which will contribute with resources , experience and expertise in the successful implementation of the project at all stages of development . The Actions of the youth exchange will take place in Romania , in Gorj county in a location near Bumbeşti Jiu, community where the applicant organization has its headquarters and it will try for 7 days of non formal educational activities to achieve several objectives: to inform in a correct way and raise awareness of young people about overweight / obesity and its effects , to identify the causes and effects of bad eating habits , develop skills and knowledge of participants in training them how to combine and consumption of food , communication skills , teamwork, time management , social skills and civic multilingualism , intercultural . The host organization aims to achieve these objectives through activities and a variety of non formal educational working methods that spurr active and direct involvement of each participant , methods that encourage learning by doing . We shall use the following: presentations and open discussions on topics of interest and directly related to the topic of project, workshops and group activities , social games , simulation and teamwork ; visits to organic food production facilities , meetings with representatives from relevant - health , food , etc. . To ensure local impact , the project provides a range of activities open to youth participation in the community. We also carry a TV show as well as articles and information (folders ) that will announce and inform the community about this event.
