From wine tradition to wine tourism - creating cross-border wine routes (CROSS-BORDER WINE ROUTES)

Križevci, Kalnik, Orahovec and Pécs, all having their deep routes in growing grape and making wine, have come up with this project to further develop wine tourism in their area by creating joint, cross-border wine routes. The Križevci-Kalnik-Orehovec wine route will be established, complete with brown signs, direction signs and information boards. Human resources and quality measurement systems play a vital role as well, with quality certificates and annual ratings serving as motivating factors for wine growers and rural tourism service providers to continuously upgrade and improve their offer. Expected Results: A multi-layered project by traditional wine growing regions, designed to address new possibilities jointly
