From Theory to Reality

Many organizations are struggling with finding volunteers, motivating young people, project implementation or financial management. The reason behind this that youth workers, directors or project coordinators are missing some skills such as efficient communication with volunteers or employees, delegation of responsibilities, dealing with difficult situations etc. As result, the work of NGOs are missing quality, spontaneous (lack of planning and strategy) and not having proper impact on society because there are not many opportunities to develop some certain skills regarding this topic. The existing ones are usually requires money or targeting business companies, which non-profit organizations cannot handle to pay. ?From theory to Reality ?training course aims to develop participants skills and competences on project management, commutation, creative thinking, strategic planning and planning ideas to put in action though the coaching, consulting and mentoring methods. Participants were youth workers, project coordinator, NGO directors who are in managing positions. During the project participants practiced coaching, mentoring and consulting skills. Moreover, they also plan one year of personal development plan for themselves and one year strategic plan for their organization. Objectives: To introduce methods of coaching, mentoring and consulting To develop skills on coaching, mentoring and consulting and practicing, To build capacity of non governmental organizations and youth workers To develop skills of project and financial management To develop the competence of dealing with human resources To support participants to create one year strategic plan of their organization To support participants to create on year of personal development program The training course will take place between February 5th -12th 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey. Project was held with 19 participants from Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Romania, Latvia and Turkey. The methodologies were based on formal education approaches, interactive and creative. Participants experienced various different methods. On the last we put special emphasis on developing participants? capacities to multiply their experience with a view to disseminating the training?s results. Trainers, coaches and invited experts shared their skills and knowledge with participants
