The city of Comblain -au -Pont and Portugal maintain a friendship born of Portuguese immigration important to the peak of the stone-pit . Discussions have already taken place in the past between the youth of the town Comblain -au -Pont and those Belinho Portugal and the project is presented below for the long term. The coordinator and the partner share the work with young people in community projects, with families and local associations. The partners want to raise young they animate to European citizenship , tolerance , migration . The project has counted participants in disadvantaged youth and ensure gender equality . We wanted, through weaving social, intercultural and intergenerational links : - Allowing young people but also to the families of two different countries to meet, exchange experiences, their practice. - Allow cultural, environmental, sporting discovery of a region of Portugal and parallel to the cultural, environmental, sporting at the province of Liège. - Enable young people to plan for a more positive future - Enable young Belgians and Portuguese , as well as families, to strengthen existing links - Allowing young people from the second or third generation of Portuguese immigration to "demystify " the image they have of Portugal, empowering them so that they can better understand the economic, social reality , and cultural Portugal today . - Raise the population of the issue of immigration yesterday and today. - Allow each individual to take charge of various elements of the project, according to its motivations , its potential to make this project a tool of empowerment , recovery and informal training . The attached program develops activities where all young , Belgian and Portuguese, will share living together related to cultural, sporting , educational, festive too. The intergenerational and intercultural will be the main thread . These activities give rise to debates on European citizenship, European mobility in labor especially. We hoped the following effects in this project: - Valorization of youth an of the families - Motivation for continuing relations incurred by the project - Motivation for other projects , other exchanges. - Motivation for Belgian families, sometimes poor, to welcome young. - Changing representations of various phenomena caused by immigration. - Awareness of family solidarity in the South face of the economic crisis. - Awareness of mobility ( historical ) Portuguese facing the problem of unemployment. - Awareness to participate in a recognized local population , communal project at European level After the exchange itself, the work is continued in the town of Comblain -au -Pont by educating people with European citizenship experienced by young people.
