FREE-LEARNING – Approcio integrato e-learning per la formazione iniziale e continua degli operatori del terzo settore

The non profit sector has experienced many attempts of training the volunteers and the employees through distance learning and also of producing e.learning courses. But without an appropriate methodology all those experiences got meagre results. Therefore the current projects aims at making a repository of methodologies for e.learning and through the involvement both of training agencies and of trainers and tutors dealing with the specific non profit universe, at elaborating a e.learning training system appropriate for the relevant sector. The target groups of the envisaged integrated system of learning are therefore the VET Agencies producing .e.learning based programmes and the trainers having acquired a direct experience in addressing operators of the third sector. -- OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: The objective : to design a system, at least partly grounded on virtual learning, fit for the specific training needs of the volunteers. Training needs that the volunteers themselves and their tutors should put in evidence. The activities : an action research on the existing methodologies for e.learning. A survey of the needs of training of voluntary or professional staff of non profit associations. Take off of a web based community of practice. -- RESULTS AND PRODUCTS: The outcomes : development of an appropriate methodology for e.teaching and e.training the personnel of third sectors organisation; implementation of a prototype and consequent pilot training of trainers, tutors and volunteers; on the basis of such pilot test fine tuning of the integrated system of training for the third sector. -- POTENTIAL FUTURE: Explicit intention of transfer of the project’s results to the secondary schools system
