The Franco-British Cycle Plan aims to encourage and facilitate sustainable tourism, travel and economic development on both sides of the English Channel by stimulating transfrontier visitor exchange. The project, which is based on an access for all principle, will provide a high profile network of cycle tracks and greenways (infrastructure) and services (promotion) necessary to encourage French and British visitors to explore the project area using environmentally friendly modes of transport, particularly cycling.
