The background of our school:The school is situated in a disadvantaged area. 60 per cent of our students come from disadvantaged families, most families living below the minimum standard. Our students' parents have only elementary certificates, though some are skilled workers. Most of the students are not motivated to learn. Some students leave school before taking any kind of exams.Our school has mapped the problems and we know that we cannot solve all problems, but this program, French Technologies, Ingredients and Flavours could be a highway to later improvement. This traineeship could help our school acquire new ideas, methods, and authentic materials, with which we can build our curriculum.The objects of the project:We would like this project to help with the social disadvantages of the school. International learning experience would be one of our goals. The internationalization of our school will integrate us into a future international cooperation, and would improve the quality of our school.The students who would take part would learn how to find a way to international communities and increase students and teachers mobility.The students would acquire some competences, such as understanding and making themselves in a vocational setting, comparing their occupations to the French occupations, identifying the cultural characteristics of the host environment. They would learn a lot about the world famous French cuisine and ingredients and equipment.We would find partnerships otherwise out of reach.We would like to improve the level of exit exams as well as trade subjects and foreign languages Expected results:The school would join into the international circulation: We could establish good networks among participants as a basis for the future projects. This project could motivate our students and my colleagues as well.The new methods technologies, flavours, ingredients, equipment and materials would be useful for teachers, teaching trade and other subjects as well.The students would share their acquired knowledge among other students and teachers in nearby schools.Long term results:Our students’ foreign language and social competence would improve besides trades competences. We could check their motivation and their grades in their certifications. The programme would facilitate the foreign language trade subjects learning too.Our students’ exit and trade exam results would improve also.The new technologies and materials would be written into the school curriculum to ensure broader sustainable availability. This course would help our school with increased advantages.
