Y Standup? Originated with the aim of promoting young people to take the floor when it matters, be the change and standup against poverty through a pedagogical process 'Reflect, Discuss, Act'. The project was held on a national level and focused on dialogue between young people and policy makers, empowering young people to influence decision making. We believe that youth empowerment is intrinsic to sociopolitaical change within communities. Y Standup? has made it possible for young people to be this change.*Please, indicate and explain the reasons for eventual changes between your initial application and the activities finally implemented, e.g. composition of partner promoters and/or participants, duration of the Activity, Activity programme.The date of the event was changed by one week in order to prevent clashes with other activities programmed for young people and Standup activities held on the occassion of the International Day of Poverty.The change in venue was also decided on after getting the confirmation that University did not have available a one-building facility for the organisation of an event involving the use of workshop rooms, conference rooms and provision of catering facilities. It would have been difficult to keep people participating on the project together during the event if the change in venue was not effected.
