Organizations involved in the project are the FORTIS-AKADEMIE gGmbH (sending institution) and the Norwich Institute for Language Education in Great Britain as well as the Instituto de Ensananza Secundaria (I.E.S.) “Ezequiel Gonzales” in Spain (hosting institutions).The overall aim of this project is to facilitate the international orientation of the vocational school centre of FORTIS-AKADEMIE by qualitative further development of teaching staff.This project is to be implemented by several one-week training courses for a total of eight grammar school teachers for English/Spanish at the above-mentioned institutions in the period from July 2016 to May 2018.Through participation in this project teachers will - review the principles and practices of language teaching and look at recent developments in teaching methodology- exchange their knowledge and experience with colleagues from other European countries- examine the relationship between language, materials and methodology, review a wide range of recent materials and be encouraged to re-examine their own teaching- be enabled to actively involve a European approach when designing and delivering their own coursesTo achieve these aims the participants will attend language courses, seminars or workshops run by trainers who all have extensive experience of designing and delivering courses for teachers, as well as of teaching English/Spanish.By raising intercultural awareness and developing innovative skills and knowledge this project will help teachers acquire good conditions to support the process of international orientation of the FORTIS-AKADEMIE since they will play an active part as multiplicators for all school staff.
