Fortbildungen und Hospitationen für Lehrkräfte im Bereich europäischer Zusammenarbeit weiterführender Montessori-Schulen

The training concept consisting in internships, conference participations and courses in foreign languages is intended to qualitatively develop and improve the concept of a secondary Montessori school, which has been developed at our school over the last twelve years. For that, suggestions and experiences from other European countries with well-established secondary Montessori schools should be considered as well as current didactic knowledge should be adapted for our professional teaching. In detail, training will pursue the following objectives: 1.) The ideas and scientific knowledge from two European Montessori congresses, the first 2015 in Lublin, Poland, on "Montessori Education: The child`s Development in the Social Environment" as well as from the follow-up congress in 2016, should promote further development of the school's Montessori concept and allow a first-time synchronization with comparable Montessori schools in other European countries. 2.) The internships at Montessori College Nijmegen are planned with two teachers per year and should let us benefit from the many years of educational practice of our Dutch colleagues, but are also intended to initiate concrete Montessori-projects with one or more foreign partners. 3) Different language courses and teacher training in Greece, Italy, France, the UK and Malta are carried out to expand the methodological and didactic repertoire of our colleagues in the spirit of Maria Montessori. This will be achieved by the European discourse on student-centered teaching of foreign languages and thus will lead to an expansion of autonomous learning in foreign languages.
